Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of the LazyPie website, job matching service, resume tools, browser extension flows, paid features, and related communications.

Who operates LazyPie

LazyPie is operated as a personal, unincorporated service. In these terms, LazyPie, we, us, and our refer to the individual operator of the service.

Using the service

LazyPie helps you organize job search information, match roles against your profile, draft resume and cover letter materials, and prepare application-related notes for your review. You must use the service lawfully and only for your own legitimate job search or career management purposes.

Accounts and security

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account and email access secure.
  • You must not share access in a way that allows another person to misuse LazyPie.
  • You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

AI drafts and user review

LazyPie may use AI to summarize job posts, score fit, draft resumes, draft cover letters, and prepare interview materials. AI outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular application. You must review, edit, and approve any draft before using it.

LazyPie does not automatically submit applications, contact employers, send recruiter messages, or guarantee that any draft will lead to interviews, offers, employment, or other outcomes.

No employment advice or guarantees

LazyPie provides productivity software for job search workflows. We do not act as your employer, recruiter, career counselor, legal advisor, or immigration advisor. We do not guarantee job availability, posting accuracy, employer response, interview selection, compensation, offers, or employment.

Payments and subscriptions

  • Paid features, subscriptions, invoices, and payment methods are processed through Stripe.
  • Prices, quotas, and plan features may change, but changes will not reduce the paid period you have already purchased unless required for security, abuse prevention, or legal reasons.
  • You are responsible for taxes, fees, and charges associated with your purchase.
  • Unless stated otherwise at checkout or required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period begins.
  • You can manage or cancel a subscription through the billing tools provided in the service when available.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use LazyPie to violate laws, rights, platform rules, or employer application rules.
  • Upload malware, harmful code, or content that infringes another person's rights.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, payment controls, access controls, or security measures.
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or interfere with the service except where allowed by law.
  • Use LazyPie to create deceptive, fraudulent, discriminatory, harassing, or harmful content.
  • Misrepresent credentials, work history, qualifications, identity, or authorization to work.

Your content

You keep ownership of resumes, profile details, preferences, job notes, and other content you provide to LazyPie. You grant LazyPie a limited license to host, copy, process, analyze, display, and transform your content as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights needed to upload and use your content with LazyPie.

Service changes and availability

LazyPie may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We try to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe an account is violating these terms, creating risk, or causing harm.

Third-party services

LazyPie relies on third-party services such as Supabase, Vercel, Google, Stripe, Resend, AI providers, browser platforms, job boards, and employer websites. Their services, terms, privacy practices, outages, and content are not controlled by LazyPie.

Disclaimers

LazyPie is provided as is and as available without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LazyPie will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, business interruption, job search outcomes, employment decisions, or third-party conduct. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid to LazyPie for the service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or CAD $50 if you did not pay LazyPie during that period.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict of law rules. Courts located in Ontario, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where consumer protection law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as LazyPie changes. The Last updated date shows when the terms were most recently revised. Continued use of LazyPie after an update means you accept the revised terms.
