This policy explains how LazyPie collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the LazyPie website, job matching service, resume tools, browser extension flows, and related communications.

Who operates LazyPie

LazyPie is operated as a personal, unincorporated service. In this policy, LazyPie, we, us, and our refer to the individual operator of the service.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of the service, and limited technical information needed to run the service.

  • Account information, such as your email address and basic profile details.
  • Google sign-in data, such as your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile image if provided by Google.
  • Resume, profile, career preference, location, salary, seniority, skills, and dealbreaker information that you add to LazyPie.
  • Job matching data, including job posts, match scores, freshness signals, saved jobs, tailored resume drafts, cover letter drafts, and review decisions.
  • Billing and subscription status data needed to provide paid features. Payment card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored by LazyPie.
  • Email notification data, such as delivery status and preferences for job digest or account-related messages.
  • Technical data such as device, browser, IP address, request logs, security events, and approximate usage timestamps.

How we use information

  • Authenticate users and maintain account sessions.
  • Build and update your job matching profile.
  • Find, rank, and explain job opportunities based on your resume and preferences.
  • Draft and improve resume, cover letter, and interview preparation materials for your review.
  • Process subscriptions, enforce usage limits, and provide billing support.
  • Send transactional emails, security notices, job digests, and service updates.
  • Protect the service from abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, and reliability issues.
  • Debug, analyze, and improve LazyPie.

Google user data

If you sign in with Google, LazyPie uses Google user data only to create and secure your account, identify you in the product, and support account-related communications. We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising.

LazyPie does not automatically submit job applications, send messages to employers, or publish content on your behalf through Google sign-in.

AI processing

LazyPie may use AI service providers to analyze resumes, parse job posts, score job fit, draft tailored resumes, draft cover letters, or prepare interview notes. AI outputs are intended to help you review and edit materials. You are responsible for checking accuracy before using any draft outside LazyPie.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate LazyPie. They process information only as needed to provide their services to us.

  • Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and server infrastructure.
  • Vercel for web hosting, deployment, and edge infrastructure.
  • Google for sign-in and related OAuth services.
  • Stripe for payments, billing, invoices, and subscription management.
  • Resend for transactional email delivery.
  • AI and data providers used to process resume, profile, and job matching workflows.

Sharing and disclosure

We may share information in the following limited situations:

  • With service providers that help operate LazyPie.
  • When required by law, legal process, or a valid government request.
  • To protect LazyPie, users, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or harm.
  • With your direction or consent, such as when you choose to export or use a draft outside LazyPie.

Data retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements. You may request account or data deletion by emailing support@lazypie.app. We may need to keep limited records when required for billing, security, fraud prevention, or legal reasons.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and service-provider security features. No online service can guarantee perfect security. Please use a secure email account and notify us if you believe your LazyPie account is at risk.

International processing

LazyPie is operated from Canada and uses service providers that may process information in Canada, the United States, and other countries. By using LazyPie, you understand that your information may be processed outside your province, state, or country.

Children

LazyPie is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to LazyPie, contact us so we can review and delete it when appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as LazyPie changes. The Last updated date shows when the policy was most recently revised. Continued use of LazyPie after an update means the revised policy applies.
